Ingredients

For the burgers / sandwich filling

  • 500g beef mince (20% fat for juiciness) — or grilled chicken / plant-based alternative
  • Salt & cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

For the HORMUZA glaze

  • 3 tbsp HORMUZA Fermented Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp butter or olive oil

For assembly

  • Brioche burger buns or toasted sourdough
  • Mature cheddar or American cheese slices
  • Caramelised onions
  • Pickles
  • Fresh lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Optional: crispy bacon or grilled mushrooms

Method

    Make the HORMUZA glaze

    In a small pan gently warm HORMUZA Fermented Chilli Sauce with honey, vinegar and butter. Stir until glossy and thick. Set aside.

    Cook the patties

    Season mince with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and garlic powder. Form loose balls and smash onto a hot pan or grill. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until deeply caramelised.

    Toast the buns

    Lightly toast buns or bread until golden.

    Build the HORMUZA

    Bottom bun → lettuce → patty → onions → pickles → extra HORMUZA sauce → top bun.

    Finish & serve

    Press lightly and enjoy immediately.
