Powered by HORMUZA Fermented Chilli Sauce
Bold. Juicy. Saucy. This is where HORMUZA really bites.
Serves 2–3 people (or 1 very hungry legend). A layered chilli glaze that cuts through fat, lifts sweetness and leaves a long, savoury finish.

Ingredients
For the burgers / sandwich filling
- 500g beef mince (20% fat for juiciness) — or grilled chicken / plant-based alternative
- Salt & cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
For the HORMUZA glaze
- 3 tbsp HORMUZA Fermented Chilli Sauce
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp butter or olive oil
For assembly
- Brioche burger buns or toasted sourdough
- Mature cheddar or American cheese slices
- Caramelised onions
- Pickles
- Fresh lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Optional: crispy bacon or grilled mushrooms
Method
- 1Make the HORMUZA glaze
In a small pan gently warm HORMUZA Fermented Chilli Sauce with honey, vinegar and butter. Stir until glossy and thick. Set aside.
- 2Cook the patties
Season mince with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and garlic powder. Form loose balls and smash onto a hot pan or grill. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until deeply caramelised.
- 3Toast the buns
Lightly toast buns or bread until golden.
- 4Build the HORMUZA
Bottom bun → lettuce → patty → onions → pickles → extra HORMUZA sauce → top bun.
